Before setting an appointment or hiring a contractor for new impact windows and doors in Florida make sure the company has the proper license:
Unlicensed activity is against the law and it also poses various financial and safety dangers to consumers. The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating businesses and professionals in the State of Florida. The department encourages consumers to always verify the name or license number of the professional they are looking to hire.

Make sure the License is in the Owners and Companies name and the Status is Current, Active.
Use Search by Name to find the company by name.
Search by individual name and input owner’s information. Owners name can be found on the companies BBB located on the left side of the page under Contact Information.

Or search by organization/establishment name and input companies name
- — *If the companies name does not show the company may be operating under another contractor’s license which raises a red flag.
Use Search by License Number to find a company by their license number.
- — *If the license is under any name other than the company or the company’s owner the company may be operating under another contractor’s license which raises a red flag.
- — *A company’s license should be located on the front page of their website and on all of their quotes, contracts, marketing and literature. If you do not see a company’s license located on any of these areas this raises a red flag.
